Double Gameweek 33 is confirmed! All six teams will have a Blank Gameweek 34 immediately after. Where does that leave you with chip strategy?
The two prevailing strategies (for those still with FH, BB, WC) are:
WC32, BB34, FH34
FH33, WC35, BB36
However there’s other combinations that look great too, both have their pros and cons. The teams that double in GW33 have some rough fixtures this week, and the players you’d potentially sell (Brentford, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal) have good fixtures this week. However by delaying the wildcard to GW35 you miss out on the best bench boost week (GW33) given BB36 looks weaker, but you get the added benefit of retaining strong picks this week. It’s a puzzle!

Double Gameweek 36 is not confirmed, but very likely. Crystal Palace and Man City have their postponement to be rearranged still, which will definitely create a DGW, and GW36 is the likeliest week.

Wildcard 32 Draft
For me if I was Wildcarding I would go with the above draft.
A few things I would consider.
Stach vs Gross vs Enzo even.
Calvert-Lewin vs Welbeck
Gabriel - keep or target a doubler?
Palmer or no Palmer.
This is where I landed overall depending on a Stach update as although Brighton help short term I think Leeds are better long term. I would also want Gabriel for the long term despite it making your bench boost in Gameweek 33 worse.

If you have all chips left should you wildcard this week?
If you have all chips, despite the fact it might feel painful this week, I would be looking to WC32, BB33, FH34 TC36.
You could also look at… FH33, WC35, TC36, BB37. It can also work.WC32 vs WC35 if no Triple Captain.
Answer these 3 questions…
1. Do you want to go against Arsenal on Wildcard 32?
2. Do you have 3+ transfers?
3. Does your team need improvements from a Wildcard? If you answered YES to 2 or 3 of those then it probably works better to wildcard 32.
Is Ekitike a risk?
I actually think he will start against Fulham but his xMins are definitely under 70.
Is Bruno essential Regardless?
I would captain Bruno this week whether on Wildcard or not!
When to Triple Captain?
Haaland in 36 if he doubles.
Haaland in 33 if no other chip.
Gameweek 38 Salah in his last game.
Bruno F in Gameweek 34 vs BRE (H) I think suits him.

So much has happened since I last wrote for his news letter and chaos has ensued in the FA Cup.
Here is where my head is at. I have not fully decided on Wildcard or Not as I do not think either strategy is particularly great or much stronger than the other one.
If 35-38 has Palace rotating and Arsenal winning the league early with not much chaos then the need to save the wildcard for 35 is less.
However, if the title goes until Gameweek 37 or 38 and maybe you can pick some Crystal Palace players who won’t get rotated and the bench boost in 33 does not do well then Widcard 32 is less beneficial.
Basically I think the negatives of both strategies outweigh the positives but I have to use it somewhere.
I currently favour not using it. I just do not think my team needs it at all to be honest. Especially with 5 Transfers Available.
So. I have to make a move! I have a few options.
1. Ekitike to Bowen if we are unsure on Ekitike’s minutes.
2. Haaland to Bowen as Haaland blanks in 34.
3. Something boring like Andersen to Mukiele to improve my team in 32 and 34.
4. Mbeumo to Wirtz ot Cunha if I am not convinced on Mbeumo’s minutes.
Lots going on but I think I am 75% towards FH33, WC35, BB36/37.

Ross is currently on holiday so we’ve given him a well earned break! He’ll be back on Thursday for FPL Wrapped Premium. He currently expects he will NOT wildcard 32 as he has used his bench boost.

The last few gameweeks have been a total disaster 😂 from just inside 10k to 36k. Gameweek 30 was the captain Salah week where both he and Ekitike were benched so that ended up a really stupid move, only made worse by Salah getting an incredibly rare injury meaning a valuable transfer was needed on him last gameweek. I did buy Wilson though who fortunately scored but I’m essentially a couple transfers down compared to if I’d done nothing and about 12 or so points down. Painful lessons learned!
I was very set on WC32 but Arsenal getting knocked out, and Leeds progressing has made it a MUCH tighter call. The teams who double in GW33 have some horrendous fixtures this week so it feels like wildcarding into a red arrow potentially.
As it stands my new plan is:
Mane → Bowen
and pivot to a new chip strategy:
FH33, WC35, BB36
Given I only have one free transfer it would have meant it would be very hard to get triple Palace for their likely DGW36, whereas this chip strategy means I can get 3 and roll a couple transfers to fade them afterwards for the final two gameweeks. I can field 11 players in GW34 just about on this strategy and Bowen fits it well with WOL (H) this week plus EVE (H) in GW34.
