FPL Wrapped - Our Gameweek 24 Teams

Hello everyone! This is the week we have been waiting for, with lots of transfers being made and wildcards activated. Ross has even made 3 free transfers already! Plenty to discuss, so let’s jump into it!

1. Is it time up for Saka?

   I still do not think so… Arsenal have a good rest match midweek and they are still 4th for xG. I think there are better picks but with a POTENTIAL double coming up I would be careful changing Arsenal players.

2. Best Triple Chelsea?

   Be careful buying Chelsea players just for the sake of it with some massive games coming up that could cause rotation particularly against West Ham. However, Enzo, Chalobah, Sanchez my top 3.

3. Ekitike a must sell?

   Actually I think no. I expect him to come back in and I do not love any of the replacements.

4. Who to buy at Manchester United?

   Obviously Bruno. Outside of that I think there is a lot of risk. Mbeumo the next best attacker although some early subs and defensively I would go Maguire over Dorgu who might be injured anyway.

5. Is Salah back on the menu?

   He actually looked very involved at the weekend. Is he worth the money yet - no. However, lets see how he and Haaland both evolve over the next few weeks.

Soooo another read arrow, another week full of chaos and blanks…
I took a late -4 to sell Foden and Tavernier to Bruno and Dewsbury-Hall.

So now with just 1 transfer, I have considered a wildcard in all honesty. I am missing too many key midfielders. Rogers, Enzo, Wilson continue to just damage my rank week after week. However, I do not think I will.

The plan for me is to roll the transfer and then redistribute the Ekitike money.

Something like…

1. Ekitike for Evanilson in Gameweek 25…

2. Anderson to Rogers in 25…

3. Dorgu to Van Dijk or Munoz in 26…

As a rough plan, I do expect Ekitike to come back in and start for Liverpool against Newcastle but let’s see how the UCL goes midweek.

Another absolutely horror week for me in GW24. If you take away Szoboszlai's returns, my other 9 players averaged 1.2 points per player. 1.2 points. They aren't even averaging the appearance points. If they just each sat there in the middle of the pitch for 60 mins, I would have scored an additional 6 points. Safe to say, not the best season!

So, on Sunday night I made 3 FTs. Partly because I couldn’t look at the same 15 players any longer, and partly because ‘funny’.

Now, I want to make it clear, I did genuinely think about the 3 FTs, I think they are likely to be the move I make if I decide not to wildcard, but as someone that is 50/50 about whether or not to play the chip, I thought worst case scenario I will just activate the chip mid-week. The 3 FTs were:

• Foden → Bruno

• Szobo → Enzo

• Ekitike → Kroupi

Enzo was going up, Ekitike was going down, and Bruno just needed to come in. This set of moves also leaves me with £3.5m itb which I plan on using to sell Le Fee or Garner to Mbeumo or Rogers in GW25.

As of right now, I am still tempted to leave the wildcard and go into GW24 with this team, but throughout the week I will think in more detail and react to what happens mid-week as well.

Well, last gameweek was absolute chaos. A good call to sell Foden and Gakpo for Enzo and Bruno, who both returned. My rank will drop with no-one left to play on Monday night.

I’ve tentatively got the armband on Bruno who is playing advanced and assisted in all 3 games since returning from injury, though I am expecting Haaland to start.

Current thinking is:

Ba → Mbeumo
Ekitike → Kroupi

I could just buy Watkins/Joao Pedro/Evanilson and save a transfer, not going to rush a decision anyway with European games on midweek!
