Triple Captains ACTIVE! 🚨
Hello everyone! Coming off the back of everyone being topped up to 5 FTs, there is still plenty to think about. Continue to get aggressive, or try and roll and get back to 5 FTs again? Flagged players, triple captaincy, and benching headaches. Let’s jump into it!

Triple Captain Haaland?
For me this is the best week left, Gameweek 18 for Liverpool vs WOL (H) or Gameweek 19 for Bruno vs WOL (H) are good alternatives though.
Is it too late to buy Harry Wilson?
No. Now he has had his best fixture against Burnley but still has returned previously against harder teams so it is not too late given how cheap he is.
Best Defender to buy?
If I was buying a defender this week it would be O’Reilly. The Manchester City fixtures coming up look great and with Ait-Nouri going to AFCON he feels even more nailed.
Best Midfielders to buy?
Foden and Bruno feel top 2. Outside of that I like Cunha, Semenyo and Harry Wilson.
Best Forward to buy?
I would look at Bowen or Ekitike, if you cannot afford them then probably stick to a 352. You could rotate Calvert Lewin in who seems to be finding some form.

Firstly, Triple Captain is ACTIVE! Haaland vs WHU (H). I have considered Gameweek 19 Bruno vs WOL (H) but I just do not think it makes sense to triple captain Bruno over Haaland basically.
Then, 4FT, with nothing in the bank, I think I will roll. I would love to do Anderson to Wilson but I am sadly £0.2m short of that transfer now. I could use another one to free up the money to do it, like doing Timber or Van Dijk to O’Reilly, or even Raya to Pickford, However, I am just not sure that is a good use of 2 transfers.
So as mentioned I will likely roll and have 5 transfers next week.
Let’s hope for some Semenyo or Bruno points on Monday night to change the red arrow green!

GW16 has been an OK week with a small red arrow thus far, but as of writing this I still have 3 players to play in Senesi, Cunha, and Bruno. Hopeful they can deliver me something!
For GW17, all aboard the Haaland triple captain train! The chip is active, and I am probably about 70% sure I will play the chip. The other 30% is the temptation to triple captain Bruno against Wolves at home in GW19. I prefer captaining midfielders, and Haaland has been anything other than consistent with his returns in the past 8 weeks. I still think he is a very good TC choice though.
Regarding transfers, a lot will depend on the fitness of Senesi and Szoboszlai, with both players currently flagged in my team. I think if Senesi were to be out, it’s an easy sell to van den Berg. If Szoboszlai was confirmed to be out for more than 2 weeks, I would have a tougher time. That is mainly due to the lack of options I can move to, and also probably wanting to go cheap to give me the funds to get Tarkowski/Gabriel/O’Reilly in the coming weeks, but with KDH being injured there isn’t an obvious player.
Just to give you an idea of some possible options:
Szoboszlai → Minteh/Wilson/Cherki
Szoboszlai & Rodon → KDH & O’Reilly
Szoboszlai & Senesi → Semenyo & Alderete
If both Senesi and Szoboszlai are fit, or at least not ruled out beyond GW17, I may well roll the transfer.

I got a bit carried away last gameweek using 4 of 5 free transfers, though Foden and O’Reilly came in and did well for me. I had originally penciled in Munoz to O’Reilly in GW17 for this week, but Timber’s flag had me worried about no depth in my team. Ironically in the end Timber did play and I’d have done slightly better not making that move after Mukiele’s 9 pointer on my bench but I can’t complain. The team value swing will be quite favourable going early as well.
Therefore my team doesn’t need any transfers this week so the plan is to roll. I saw Harry and Ross are triple captaining so they should be on for a very good gameweek - I wasted mine in the LEE (H) game where he blanked! I might sell Semenyo after BUR (H) for Szoboszlai if he’s available after the injury scare last match, because Liverpool have WOL (H) and LEE (H) back to back and it gives me money to upgrade Ba to a Dewsbury-Hall or maybe Wilson as my fifth mid.
Good luck if you’ve got anyone left to play in the Monday night game!

Harry’s top 3 Captaincy choices this week!
Haaland vs WHU (H)
West Ham at home for Haaland feels too obvious to ignore. It’s been difficult to back against him recently when some have tried and this feels more like a should we triple captain rather than should we back against him.
Foden vs WHU (H)
If you did want to go against him, a possible route is his team mate Foden who looks in amazing form. Plus an extra point per goal and potential clean sheet. 4 double digit returns in a row, Foden is bang in form.
Semenyo vs BUR (H)
Outside of Manchester City, captaincy is hard but Semenyo could be an option given the fixture. His form recently has not been good but any sign of something against Manchester United tonight could make him a great differential.

Next 6 Gameweeks ranked by difficulty.
Manchester City sit top of the fixtures now with West Ham at home this week starting the run off. Haaland and Foden feel obvious but Cherki, O’Reilly or Gvardiol could offer a nice triple up.
Newcastle also have a nice run continuing so if you have a player I would be looking to keep despite them being disappointing recently.
Keep an eye on Everton, a difficult game this week but a very nice run starting from Gameweek 18 against Burnley that spans over 10 Gameweeks.

There’s some midweek games this week, mainly League Cup plus Crystal Palace play in Europa Conference League.

Good luck if you have anyone playing in Monday night’s fixture Man Utd vs Bournemouth! We’ll be back again on Thursday with FPL Wrapped premium.
