If you have read all the newsletters over the international break I feel like I have taken you on an absolute rollercoaster of emotions! As it stands on Thursday morning, I am still waiting for anything official on Sarr as we have had nothing apart from some communication from Senegal that he will not feature over the international break but we have heard nothing from Crystal Palace as of yet. I am still holding out 1% hope!
However, I think my plan seems much clearer, the panic of a potential early wildcard is gone (for now) and I still plan on holding it until Gameweek 13 without the definite need to Free Hit in Gameweek 6 either, although it is still possible.
If Sarr is ruled out for 4 weeks or more I am very likely to take a -4 this week.
I feel about 80% sure that I will buy Senesi this week but am not 100% sure of who it will be for… Williams, Agbadou and Esteve could all leave my team!
Selling Esteve up to Senesi would leave me £0.1m in the bank but give me good squad depth. It would leave me £6.6m for a Sarr replacement ruling out Semenyo and Grealish but still leaving the likes of Kudus and Enzo but most likely Ndiaye or Paqueta for safety of penalty share.
Selling Williams down to Senesi opens the Semenyo door. this will free up enough money that I need to do Sarr up to Semenyo. Now it does leave my defence weaker but are we expecting that much from Nottingham Forest now under Ange?
Finally selling Agbadou. I think this is the least likely. this would leave me enough money for my second transfer to be Williams up to Munoz for a -4 and keep Sarr. This is likely to only be considered if Sarr is out for 1 or 2 matches.

Hello everyone! FPL is (finally) back.
I am going to keep this short as nothing much has changed and I am currently typing this from a hotel in Brighton as I am at a conference for my PhD!
I have two options this week:
Roll the transfer
Williams/Diouf to Munoz
I am leaning toward option 1, as I have Richards already and so if Munoz does keep a clean sheet, it won’t hurt quite as much, assuming Richards starts and plays 60+ mins! That being said, I may get Munoz FOMO and make the move.
I just think two free transfers and £2.2m itb for GW5 is a very strong position to be in, and may allow me to pivot to Isak, or potentially roll again and then pivot from Salah to Haaland in GW6 and potentially even save the free hit.
More free transfers is never a bad thing! If I do decide to roll, I have the decision of Williams or Diouf in the starting XI, which I think is quite close. Given I own no Arsenal assets, I am tempted to pick Williams, but Diouf at home is probably a slightly better pick on paper.
Let’s see where I land on Saturday…

My gut feeling as soon as Gameweek 3 ended was one of Rogers/Watkins are gone, and maybe that’s what I’d have done if there wasn’t an international break to sit on it longer. Keeping hold after 0 returns from 6 opportunities between them seems counter intuitive but I still want to keep my options open and stay patient. It’s so early in the season I’m not sweating about my rank (ask me again if I’m still 5.2m in 5 gameweeks!). By rolling there is a really interesting set of moves that open up for me in GW6:
Salah → Palmer
Watkins → Haaland ©
Gakpo → Ndiaye (or Rogers → Paqueta)
This gets me back to two premiums, and most importantly own Haaland for BUR (H), BRE (A), EVE (H). What a run that is - so good in fact I’d be willing to lose Salah for it. I may still wildcard in GW6 though I’d be taking 3 FTs out the other side of it which is fantastic because I should be able to roll to 5 in theory. So long story short I’ll be rolling unless there’s any nasty surprises in the pressers. Good luck and thanks for reading!

Harry’s top 3 Captaincy choices this week!
Since last week, I do not think much has changed apart from Haaland scoring 5 goals but it is not quite enough to change my captaincy ranking.
1. Salah vs BUR (a) - I think Salah being top is fairly self explanatory even with the form he has shown over the first 3 weeks. The most reliable option at Liverpool particularly when it comes to minutes with Isak joining and champions league starting midweek.
2. Haaland vs MUN (H) - Manchester United have probably looked slightly better this season compared to last but it definitely has not elevated them defensively. Conceding two against Burnley last week and now going up against a Manchester City team and Haaland who has a pretty good record against them.
3. Mateta vs SUN (H) - With some uncertainty on Liverpool’s front line although I do think Gakpo and Ekitike both start and not yet knowing if Palmer is back available, I have gone with Mateta. A great home fixture against Sunderland, on penalties and by fair their main attacker now.

FPL detectives spotted a potential Cole Palmer in the background, is he back?

Last Gameweek’s winner scored 17 points after wildcarding, from a rank of 2.4K, down to 520K. Ouch.
